It ranks the portal's workflows by what they're caught up in: conflicting, dependent, overlapping, connected. The ranking weighs the strength of each relationship, so one open conflict outranks nine resemblances. Lookalike families come last, as the weakest reason to compare two workflows.
Choose a workflow and Compare lists every workflow related to it, strongest relationship first, with the reasons it found: an open conflict they share, a dependency between them, a property both write. Click one to open the pair side by side.
With two picked, a banner names the strongest relationship between them and says why: one writes a property the other enrolls on, both write the same property, they share an open conflict, or they closely resemble each other. Below it, each workflow's grade, open issues, trigger and steps sit in their own panel. Enrollment filters and set-property values are decoded to HubSpot's labels, with each property named by its object (Contact's Lifecycle stage → "Marketing Qualified Lead", not the raw internal values), and steps that appear in both workflows fade back so the differences stand out.
Any open conflict that names both workflows is listed under the panels, with its type, its severity and the detector's own description: which property, which values, which workflows. Conflict detection errs on the side of flagging, so read it with the banner above, which shows whether one workflow hands records to the other. Before you switch either off, What if I deactivate these? shows what else in the portal each one would affect.
Each panel ends with three ways out. View details opens the workflow's detail drawer without leaving the comparison, Open in map opens the map with that workflow's details already open, and Open in HubSpot goes straight to that workflow in HubSpot's editor. Find the issue in Entflow, click through to fix it. No searching your portal for the right workflow ID.
Compare sits in the top bar, answers to the g then p shortcut, and is in the Cmd+K palette as Go to Compare. The page address keeps both picks, so a copied link reopens the same pair for a teammate with access to the portal. Once a pair is open, the sidebar takes either workflow straight to Map, Cleanup or Analyst.
